Countryside Tours

The tour takes you from central London out through the suburbs of London and onto Wiltshire. Stonehenge a prehistoric monument is one of the most famous sites in the world. It is composed of circular large stones set within the earth. Archaeologists believe the iconic stone monument was constructed anywhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. We can only guess on its original purpose as ideas seem to differ. After enjoying the mystery of this great monument, and taking a break for refreshments, we will then proceed to Bath.

The early Roman settlement of Bath became fashionable in Georgian England. The city was first established as a spa with the Latin name, Aquae Sulis (“the waters of Sulis”) by the Romans in AD 43. It became popular as a spa town during the Georgian era. The City of Bath was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 1987. We will have time for more photographs. We will take time for lunch in Bath. We can substitute the trip to Bath for Glastonbury if desired.
